After a month long roll out including retro print ads and a video with models playing handball, Aimé Leon Dore’s collaboration with New Balance is finally here.

For their first collaboration, ALD has decided on two colorways of the New Balance 997, one of the most popular silhouettes from the Boston based company. Both colorways feature primarily grey and beige suede uppers but feature pops of color towards the back. One colorway offers hits of yellow, navy, olive green and pink while the other features fuschia, pink, bright blue and navy. As if the bright colors weren’t enough, the tumbled leather on the tongues will definitely set these apart from your dad’s classic grey pair.

The two different sneaker colorways drop alongside a collection of apparel—branded in the same vintage style as the preceding ads—utilizing a similar color palette. Streetwear staples like shorts, T-shirts, fleece jackets, and hoodies are all represented.

The New Balance x Aimé Leon Dore 997s will release on April 12 on Aimé Leon Dore’s web store and New York location at 11 am EST. Be sure to check Grailed’s Hype marketplace shortly after the drop for your chance to cop a pair.
