Arbitrage NYC presents their seventh, and final, archive capsule collection, returning its focus to the Dolce & Gabbana archive.

Arbitrage NYC has been preparing for this capsule for over a year and looks to expand on its first Dolce & Gabbana capsule collection that released back in February of 2017. This new capsule contains over 40 pieces from past collections ranging from Fall/Winter 1999 to Spring/Summer 2008 but focuses primarily on pieces from Dolce & Gabbana’s iconic Fall/Winter 2003 Collection. This collection drew heavily from military and future-forward inspirations, aside from drawing upon styles found within the techno and punk subcultures. Bondage and S&M-inspired design was already trending in menswear by the release of the Fall/Winter 2003 collection, but Dolce & Gabbana further exaggerated the style by infusing their trademark hyper-masculinity and military themes.

Stand-out pieces in the collection include the much-hyped Fall/Winter 2003 Nylon Bondage Bomber, the Fall/Winter 2003 Reconstructed Military Trousers and the Fall/Winter 2007 Mesh Bomber. The Bondage Bomber features a body made from padded nylon and leather panels, with nylon webbed bondage straps and an oversized storm hood. The Reconstructed Trousers are made from repurposed military surplus and recovered vintage HBT materials. Finally, the Mesh Bomber is made from a double-layer heavyweight mesh fabric and features moto detailing and chrome buckles throughout.

While this Dolce & Gabbana Capsule will be its last shoppable collection for the foreseeable future, Arbitrage NYC won’t be going anywhere. After this collection wraps, Arbitrage will be shifting focus to curating a varied selection of archive designer and vintage designs available to rent and sharing its extensive archive on Instagram and on its website.

As with every capsule release, Arbitrage NYC put together a lookbook featuring the garments. See this editorial above, and shop
