Birthdays are a milestone in one’s life that remind us of our mortality. Though, Shai combined two of the most iconic fit pics this century to create an immortal sum.

Let’s start from the bottom with the Denim Tears x Levi’s floral printed jeans that Kanye wore on May’s GQ cover, plus the Jeff Hamilton 2002 Lakers Three-Peat leather jacket (a design that—while different—was immortalized by Kobe Bryant himself, hugging the trophy after the 2000 NBA finals.

Last time, I wrote how the Tyler Herro x Drake link is imminent. Then, at the very end of June, he posted this pic with Jack Harlow and I felt a little down knowing my forecast was misguided. But now, after seeing Tyler in a Louis Vuitton babushka, I’m back.

We’re building to an A$AP Rocky link up—it makes the perfect amount of sense.

Also, if you had any doubts that Tyler is really behind his style, he squashed any skepticism with this Instagram comment this month.

It’s really cool to see players dress in August, because normally the closest we get to summer is May, but it’s the playoffs so we see a little less personality.

We’ve seen Bron rock Aimé Leon Dore a little more frequently as of late, and he really wears it well. The leisure shirt and shorts have the perfect amount of opening night uniform, mixed with a hint of Disney World dad that Bryce so perfectly parodied.

This fit caught a lot of heat in the comments because people are acting like he’s working out in Tom Ford trousers (which, for what it’s worth, would slap) but these are from Li-Ning’s Way of Wade collection.

Said another way: They’re cropped athletic pants—I’m gonna buy a pair right now.

PJ Tucker gets a lot of love for his sneakers, but I think an underrated part of his wardrobe are his shorts. I guess when you’re a 6-foot-5 center you have to learn all the tricks of the trade to appear as long as possible and these 5-inch inseam Nike Flex Stride Blue Ribbon shorts do that and more.

He’s always had a knack for understanding context -- even leaning a bit meta at times. But here, his logic is pretty straightforward. He’s going to Disney World, so he’s dressing for vacation.

Kuz seems more focused after quarantine. The twittersphere has co-signed his improvements on the court (which we love for him), and—judging exclusively via posts on social media—his newfound relationship with Winnie Harlow seems serious and mature for a 25 year-old Laker (which we also love for him).

Which is why we stand by the idea that dressing yourself has merits. Kuz’s first tunnel fit since March sort of encapsulates his growth.

It’s more subtle than we’ve seen him go in the past—especially for a moment with as much anticipation, but the statement is clear. The salmon pink Childhood Dreams shirt and shorts plug his new label. The Birkenstock Arizonas, juxtaposed with the heat-in-hand help to convey the duality of Kuz

Tyler, the Creator vibes here, this fit rocks. The jumpsuit is by New York Sunshine, a really fun brand that’s best described as “Carhartt for basketball.”

Matisse looks great modeling the brand’s just-released Sixers collection, but we just wish he would have completed the workwear theme through the feet instead of jumping into a pair of Off-White 97s.

The Off-White Air Max 97s look good here—don’t get us wrong—but we love a theme. Otherwise Matisse looks great (and, while we’re here, we would love to see if New York Sunshine can figure out a stylish way for Joel Embiid to return home safely).

Think this is what the kids (30-something year-old millennials) mean when they say “mood.”

From the feet up: Louis Vuitton sandals plus socks, Supreme patchwork pants, white tee, glass of red, getting his hair done. I know LeBron is gonna be salty when he sees this.

GQ posted this picture with the caption “Blake Griffin makes a case for chopped denim”. I want to be crystal clear fellas: These are jorts. Tombolo terrycloth cabana shirt up top, forces below—and so the case is made.

He’s continuing his mission to revamp the golf wardrobe.

Swaggy P makes a very sound argument, using both style and function alike. The Supreme shortsleeve nylon zip-up and cropped striped pants are roomy enough for a comfortable backswing, the N*E*R*D trucker hat shades his eyes, and the SB Concord Lows on his feet keep his form stabilized.

Finally, we love a very literal sock moment. The Golf Wang socks on the course are, naturally, exactly what Tyler envisioned.
