After debuting at the Comme des Garçons Homme Plus runway show last year during Paris Fashion Week: Men’s, Comme des Garçons latest Nike collaboration is finally here.

Dubbed the Comme des Garçons Homme Plus x Nike Air Presto Foot Tent, what many initially thought was an entirely new silhouette is in fact a re-edition of a sneaker originally released in 2002. Although widely considered a disaster—including by the shoe's legendary designer Tinker Hatfield, who referred to the model as “one of [his] worst projects of all time”—the new collaboration is just bulbous and off-putting enough given our current ugly sneaker paradigm.

While the CDG Air Presto Foot Tent doesn’t stray far from the original, the new version substitutes the lacing and cage with a pull ripcord system, similar to the look of a pitched tent. The sneaker is set to release in two colorways: black and neon as well as light blue and red.

The Comme des Garçons Homme Plus x Nike Air Presto Foot Tent will release at select stockists on January 12. Be sure to check Grailed shortly after the drop as the shoes make their way to the Hype marketplace.
