"In Medias Res" is a column in which photographer Chris Fenimore links up with some of New York City's most interesting people to see what they're wearing throughout the week.

Name: Adrian King Carter

Age: 29

Occupation: Nepenthes/m5 Showroom

Neighborhood: Crown Heights by way of Washington D.C.

Favorite shop in New York City: Nepenthes

Favorite restaurant in New York City: Minetta Tavern for their black label burger

How did you get into fashion: Collecting footwear was the gateway into this crazy industry. By time the sneaker industry became oversaturated and uninteresting, I had lost a great deal of interest and my focus wandered into the garments those same sneakers were aligned with at the time. Since then, I’ve always been fascinated with the process behind the product. Becoming familiar with shops like Union, Slam Jam and Hideout back in their heyday helped further my interest in Japanese designers and designers in genera. Shit ain't been the same since.

How would you describe your personal style: I don't know...a fancy bum? Pretentious bum? Some shit like that lol.
