"In Medias Res" is a column in which photographer Chris Fenimore links up with some of fashion's most interesting people to see what they're wearing throughout the week.

Name: Gabriel Zeller

Age: 35

Occupation: Business development Consultant for small to medium sized brands and companies.

Neighborhood: Nolita

Favorite shop in New York City: BDDW, C'H'C'M'

Favorite restaurant in New York City: Nyonya is my low-key favorite. For what it’s worth, I’m still upset Soto in the West Village closed. That would have been my real answer.

How did you get into fashion: I started working with Brooks Brothers while at school. When they started Black Fleece with Thom Browne in '07, I was offered a role developing the new brand and working on the Brooks Brothers side of things. I started working closely with the shops in NYC, then got involved with multiple facets of the business over the next 8 years. While there I developed the wholesale arm, created a made-to-measure program, but being alongside the Brooks team of production and fabric experts, merchandisers and designers is where I learned the most.

How would you describe your personal style: I wouldn’t. As a kid in the '90s, I wore Timbs daily. Then, at Black Fleece and Thom Browne, I wore a suit and tie almost everywhere for close to a decade. I avoided the majority of trends and fads during that period. My reference was always past or future, but not the present. Then, it became me. I’m currently influenced by my friends, well-made products or something I’m confused by. Be it the way a vintage sweatshirt feels so soft inside or how a certain jacket cut makes me feel like a badass. I mostly look for a specific quality that I like in an item, then mash it all together. It's all very American in theory and sensibility. I do my best to look like myself, even if I don’t look like everyone else on the street. I’m okay with that.

Current favorite piece(s) in your closet: Squad T’s, which my buds make, Stoffa trousers, flannel suits and comfortable footwear.

How long have you been using Grailed: Not since I’ve started selling the clothing I’ve accumulated over the years, so pretty recently.

Most memorable Grailed come up: I'm still on the come up, but I'll keep you posted.

Favorite fashion designers: Thom Browne, Willy Chavarria and Yasuto Kamoshita.

Ultimate grail: Lately, I’ve been looking for this Nautica jacket I used to wear in the '90s. Maybe I’m sentimental, but it was perfect. It’d be nice to "re-own" that same jacket—see if it still fits.
