"In Medias Res" is a column in which photographer Chris Fenimore links up with some of New York City's most interesting people to see what they're wearing throughout the week.

Name: Nickelson Wooster

Age: 56

Occupation: Free agent

Neighborhood: I just moved from the West Village to Upper West Chelsea. It's right across the street from Hudson Yards.

Favorite shop in New York City: Nepenthes, IF and Dover Street Market.

How did you get into fashion: It was 40 years ago this summer that I started worked in a clothing store because my mom refused to buy me a cashmere sweater. She told me, if I wanted one, work for it. I just went to the source. I was 16-years-old. That's how it all started.

How would you describe your personal style: I have no idea how to describe my personal style. I do, however, subscribe to the principle of a sartorial mullet: business on top, party on the bottom.

Current favorite piece(s) in your closet: Currently, my favorite pieces involve skirt pants from Dries van Noten, a coat from The Soloist and jackets from Elena Dawson. I'm also on my 11th pair of Air Force 1s.

Have you ever thought about using Grailed: I have some ideas about when I'm going to use Grailed.

Favorite fashion designers: Comme des Garcons, Mihara Yasuhiro, Elena Dawson, The Soloist, Thom Browne, OAMC, Greg Lauren, visvim, JuunJ and Craig Green.

Ultimate grail: Acronym Air Force 1s in black/white.
