"In Medias Res" is a column in which photographer Chris Fenimore links up with some of New York City's most interesting people to see what they're wearing throughout the week.

Name: Rocky Li

Age: 31

Occupation: E-Comm/Marketing

Neighborhood: Bushwick

Favorite shop in New York City: Idol Brooklyn

Favorite restaurant in New York City: Shanghai Asian Manor, best soup dumplings in Chinatown in my opinion :)

How did you get into fashion: My family didn't have a lot of money for gear growing up so it made me selective about what stuff I would buy. I definitely had to save up for sneakers and try to take care of 'em throughout the semester. My interest in music and movies led me to streetwear and designer fashion naturally followed from there. There was a time when there was not a lot of menswear information online so you really had to dig on forums, blogs and auction sites to find what you liked.

How would you describe your personal style: I try to balance more expressive pieces with solid, everyday staples. New York has also influenced my personal style quite a bit. There's a practicality to the way you have to dress in the city to deal with the volatile weather, commuting and fast pace of life. Despite this, New Yorkers from all walks of life really take pride in expressing themselves through the way they dress. The fact that you can be in the club, on the train or in the grocery store and see great style makes the city a constant source of inspiration.

Current favorite piece(s) in your closet: UC Rider's Jacket, Visvim x Fragment Serra Hiking Boot, Acronym P20-S pant, Past Lives Mima tee, Stone Island Textured Crewneck

How long have you been using Grailed: For a minute now - back before there was an app.

Most memorable Grailed come up: Acronym S-J30

Favorite fashion designers: Yohji Yamamoto, Rick Owens, Jun Takahashi, Takahiro Miyashita, Errolson Hugh and Sk8thing

Ultimate grail: A Yohji coat and furniture grails.
