"Most Expensive" is a weekly franchise documenting the top 10 most expensive listings sold on Grailed over the past seven days.
It all comes full circle. Three months after we launched the "most-expensive" franchise, once again an Hedi-era Saint Laurent Paris Spring/Summer 2016 sequin bomber tops the list. While this one is substantially cheaper—$5,080 versus $7,050–they still boast many similarities. Both are runway pieces from the fabled Spring/Summer 2016 "Surf Sound" collection, Slimane's ode to Venice beach alt-rock and psychedelia, which for many was the pinnacle of his short Saint Laurent tenure. Not only did Saint Laurent take the top spot, but had a tight grip on the list in total, claiming three of ten spots, with two leather jackets—an L17 and L01, respectively—also cracking the top ten. Apart from Saint Laurent, Chrome Hearts made a welcome return, proving it's leather appliquéd jeans are still just as popular as they have been over the past few weeks. While technically the two cheapest items on the list, the most interesting are no doubt the two Prada Fall/Winter 2016 "Impossible True Love" shirts. Not only are both rare prototypes—one is rayon while the other is an entirely new graphic, one of only two in the world—but they were sold by artist Christophe Chemin himself, the same who collaborated with Prada to design the graphics. We can't make this up! Only on Grailed.
