"Most Expensive" is a weekly franchise documenting the top 10 most expensive listings sold on Grailed over the past seven days.
While Louis Vuitton regularly lands on our "most expensive" list this week is different. Neither a Virgil Abloh nor Kim Jones piece, this week's top sale is not even technically designed for men. A collaboration between the maison and world-renowned contemporary artist Jeff Koons, the bag is part of the "Masters" capsule, where the irreverent artist—alongside women's artistic director Nicholas Ghesquiere—appropriated classic masterpieces from prolific painters throughout history ranging from Van Gough to Leonardo Da Vinci and, in the case of this week's winner, Claude Monet. The images were screenprinted in bags ranging from the Sac Plat to the Keepall and Holdall. Apart from the top sale, the Saint Laurent Paris leather jacket trend is still going strong, which two versions landing on to this week's list alongside Louis Vuitton by Virgil Abloh and Dior by Kim Jones—both regular contributors.
