The 10 Most Expensive Items Sold on Grailed This Week

"Most Expensive" is a recurring franchise documenting the top 10 most expensive listings sold on Grailed over the past month.
We have finally put 2020 in the rear-view mirror, and the latest round of stimulus checks means our U.S. users got an extra injection of cash to start off 2021. As the community looks forward to a new year–ideally one where we can eventually walk the streets and gather without masks–some users are already beginning to refresh their wardrobe.
Topping our list this week is a pair of Rick Owens Dunks in the classic black and milk white colorway. Introduced in Fall/Winter 2006 and later (allegedly) receiving a cease-and-desist from Nike for its similarities to the brand's swoosh, this model has been unanimously considered a top-tier sneaker grail for years.
Another rare pair of kicks, albeit much newer, lands at number four in the form of Louis Vuitton's "A View" sneaker. The shoe was designed by Virgil Abloh for the maison's first sponsored skateboarder and Palace team rider, Lucien Clarke. This is not the fist instance of luxury brands offering a sneaker based in skate culture, but it does mark the first time a major fashion brand has created a signature model for a pro skater. While the retail price makes it tough to justify scraping these against your board's griptape with each kickflip, we can't argue that the silhouette is very much in style and a serious flex... whether you actually skate them or just rock them casually.
Another major 2020 release from Louis Vuitton was it's LV² collection in collaboration with NIGO. The pieces saw a resized Damier print altered with a dripping monogram print overlaid across ready-to-wear items and leather goods, and the Amazone Sling Bag from the collection rounds out our list at number ten.
