The 10 Most Expensive Items Sold on Grailed This Week

"Most Expensive" is a recurring franchise documenting the top 10 most expensive listings sold on Grailed over the past month.
With the one year anniversary of Kobe Bryant's passing last week, some members of the community remembered the Mamba with hefty commemorative purchases. A Jeff Hamilton jacket celebrating the Lakers' 2002 championship three-peat was among this week's most expensive sales. A Moroccan-born, Paris-based designer, Hamilton is known for his brightly colored leather championship jackets with oversized graphics, and counts Michael Jordan and the late-Kobe Bryant among the notable fans of his work.
Even still, it was a pair of ultra-rare Nike Zoom Kobe 1's that took the top spot on our list. The sneakers were a part of the very limited Stash x Nike Nort 24 Premium Pack, which included a matching varsity jacket along with the pair. The pack was only available at Stash's Nort store in New York and Edison Chen's Juice in Shanghai in 2006 (as well as an eBay charity auction). The concept behind the pack is meant to reflect Kobe's 24-hour-a-day commitment to basketball.
Elsewhere, an insanely-coveted cafe racer jacket from Maison Margiela's Spring/Summer 2002 collection also finds a spot among this week's most expensive sales. The jacket is a nod to Margiela's penchant for vintage styles, and features tonal patch details at the front and "BLACK" written across at the back. The jacket originally debuted alongside a white model with "WHITE" appropriately embroidered at its back.
