Last winter saw the release of the first Nike Air Fear of God collection and given it was an instant success, it’s no wonder the two brands got right back to work for a spring release.

This time around the focal point is the Nike Air Fear of God Raid, a sneaker largely inspired by the iconic outdoor basketball model: the Nike Air Raid. Fear of God founder/designer Jerry Lorenzo explained to Nike his immediate emotional reaction to the Air Raid, saying he loved the gray and black color scheme, the Afro-centric details and that, "it became interconnected with all these other real emotional things that were happening at the time of the shoe."

The Nike Air Fear of God Raid takes the shape and straps of the original Air Raid, while the rest of the sneaker’s features are similar to the Nike Air Fear of God 1. Another sneaker releasing with this collection is the Nike Air Fear of God Moc, which features a Ripstop upper, a midfoot strap and heel drawstring. The collection will also include a double-hooded sweatshirt, a T-shirt and reprises of the Nike Air Fear of God short and pant. The lookbook also includes images of two long rumored colorways of the Nike Air Fear of God 1, neon orange and neon green. While it is unclear when these colorways will release, we will report the dates as soon as they are officially announced.

The Nike Air Fear of God Spring/Summer 2019 collection launches April 27. Be sure to check Grailed’s Hype marketplace shortly after the items release for your chance to cop and let us know what you think of the Nike Air Fear of God Raid and Moc below.
