It's Official: Off-White x Nike Air Max 97s Drop Tomorrow

Off-White and Nike spent 2018 cooking up new colorways for models from “The Ten” collaboration, and as the holidays approach the two are ramping things up with a recent string of releases. In less than a month's time we’ve seen two new Blazer Mid’s, Chuck Taylor’s and now, two new Air Max 97’s.
Nike released a slew of 97’s last year to commemorate the sneakers 20th anniversary—most notably the original Off-White collaboration and Sean Wotherspoon’s Air Max 1/97—which put the spotlight (and frantic hype) back on the silhouette, with OG colorways like “Metallic Gold” and “Silver Bullet” nearly inescapable. Considering the massive success of the releases it’s no surprise that Nike continues to push the sneaker this year.
Originally introduced as part of Off-White’s Spring/Summer 2019 menswear collection, the two 97s have been anticipated since their debut back in January. Unlike the first Off-White x Nike Air Max 97—white with a black swoosh, black text and orange zip tie—this release includes an inverted version of the original and a new “Menta” colorway, boasting a grey upper with a gradient swoosh, black text and light blue zip tie.
As for official confirmations, store lists and stockists are all over the place, however what's for sure is that both colorways will release tomorrow, October 18. Currently, the “Menta’s” appear to be an international exclusive available at Off-White flagships and various Nike SNEAKERS EU locations, while the black colorway will release stateside via the Nike’s SNKRS app. Keep your eyes on Grailed’s Hype section as the sneakers begin to flood the market and stay tuned for any updates.
