If you were to take skate culture over the last decade and distill it to its most concentrated, pure ethos, attitude and aesthetic, what would you get?

It likely wouldn’t be Supreme. While the brand is undeniably the most popular skate brand in the world, many from the skate world would argue that it isn’t a skate brand—at least not anymore.

Instead, no brand seems to be more tapped into the skate world’s zeitgeist than Palace—a brand some have likened to the “British Supreme”.

That’s a lazy comparison, though.

Yes, Palace is younger than Supreme—by nearly two decades—and, yes, they’ve benefitted by trodding a path that Supreme blazed, as a skate brand with mainstream appeal, hype and commercial success. But Palace is unmistakably different—from the witty Brtitishisms to the unique blend of track suits and tacky luxury.

So, yes, Palace is British. But it’s more than just another skate brand.
