Nike SB creating a shoe in honor of underground rap icon MF Doom proved to be a match made in hipster heaven back in 2007. Compiled using premium materials, like a black suede upper, leather paneling and faux ostrich skin, this Dunk High is the perfect personification of the reclusive rapper. The red laces and “DOOM” collar logo add some levity to the design, while the Dr. Doom illustration hides beneath the clear rubber sole. A rare shoe for one of the rarest rappers around.

Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop to look around once in a while, you could miss it, like you may have missed this “Ferris Bueller” SB Dunk High from 2008. The high top is decked in a colorway inspired by Matthew Broderick’s outfit from the movie–rather subtle shades of brown, beige and black. What really stands out about this particular shoe is the cheetah print sock liner, which adds just the right amount of spice to an already solid SB design. It’s crazy to think it took this long for two American institutions like Michael Jordan and Levi’s to get together, but it always seemed inevitable (and no, not because of retirement era-Jordan’s penchant for a lot of denim either). Levi’s linked up with Jordan Brand to produce quite a few iterations of classic Jordan silhouettes, most notably a Jordan I collab in 2008, and three colorways of denim-clad Jordan IVs a decade later. Out of all of Virgil Abloh’s many Nike Blazer collaborations over the last few years, this “Queen” colorway designed for legendary tennis champion Serena Williams is the most sought after of the bunch. Abloh designed an entire apparel collection for the GOAT during the lead in to the 2018 U.S. Open, including her on-court suit. This Blazer didn’t hit the court, however, it proved to be an ace on the resale market. The relatively modest wolf grey upper and oversized black swoosh is topped off by the pink and purple gradient sole, adding a perfect splash of flavor to this old school classic. Fresh off being named “Sneaker of the Year” at a recent ComplexCon panel discussion, the Sacai x Nike Waffle has had quite a year. Releasing–and immediately selling out–in a variety of colorways, this design, and this colorway in particular, stood out for a myriad of reasons. First of all, the entire sneaker itself is a hybrid, as it combines elements of the Nike Waffle Daybreak and LDV running models. From there, it sports double Swooshes and tongue tags, as well as an oversized midsole. The shoe caused a ruckus all year and every colorway remains highly coveted. This colorway in particular was one of the first two to release to the public. Grab a pair of this “Green Gusto” colorway while you still can, one of the best of the best of 2019.

The white and green low-top iteration of Virgil Abloh’s first foray into Louis Vuitton sneaker design is now joined by it’s high-top brethren in this week’s list of rarest sneakers to grace the Grailed marketplace. It’s been noted that Abloh was inspired by classic 1980s basketball sneaker silhouettes like the Avia 880 and Jordan III when he designed this sneaker, and this high-top version in black stays much truer to that design ethos than its low-top counterpart. With black and grey paneling, a Jordan III-inspired midsole and outer sole, and Louis Vuitton handwritten branding on its side panel, this looks like an elevated “Black Cement” Jordan III if there ever was one. Still hard to procure despite the constant hype surrounding Abloh’s every move, and there aren’t many available on Grailed, so grab these premium high-tops while you can.

Drake has brought his OVO brand’s signature blend of elevated coziness and understated luxury to his Jordan Brand collaborations over the course of the past five years, creating OVO-inspired versions of the Jordan X, VIII and XII, the latter of which can be found in this listing. In honor of Super Bowl 50 back in 2016, Nike dropped a super limited number of “Precious Metal” Air Force 1s to commemorate the occasion. With just 82 pairs produced, these special edition Forces were released at various events around San Francisco during the lead up to the big game. The completely gold upper is bold and beautiful and is topped off with an icy sole. Very few of these exist and there are no plans to bring these back any time soon; who knows when another pair in this condition will pop up again.

Originally released in 2002, these Air Force 1 Highs are a collaboration with NYC graffiti artist Stash. The “Nozzle Cap” print wraps around the toe and heel paneling and the kicks come packaged in a briefcase-style box. Despite the age, these seem to be in great condition, despite some natural yellowing on the sole. The originals listed here were limited to just 250 pairs and have seen two subsequent retro releases, albeit with some tweaks. There was a pair released in 2007 in time for the Air Force 1’s 25th Anniversary, and another in 2017 which coincided with ComplexCon, although that was in a pure white colorway. Despite the attempts to recapture lightning in a bottle, these OGs remain the cream of the crop and an impossible find.
