For many who came of age during Michael Jordan’s playing career, odds are the Jordan I is patient zero for their implacable sneaker obsession. With news of so many new Jordan Is slated to hit the market in 2020, the timing seemed perfect to showcase this beauty–an original “Chicago” Jordan I from 1985. Despite being a 35-year-old shoe, these are in relatively pristine condition, all things considered. These have a ton of life left in them, and picking them up shouldn’t affect your plans to grab February’s retro. You might be able to get a few wears out of these before they’re relegated to full-time pieces of sneaker memorabilia.

The classic Nike Blazer got flipped on its head for this collaboration with Italian streetwear label-retailer, Slam Jam. Releasing in two colorways–a white pair back in June and the black pair (featured in this listing) from November–this collab is a master class in subtle tinkering. Clad in premium leather and nylon, the inside Swooshes are inverted and you can find “Class” and “1977” on the corresponding heel tabs. These Blazers provide a vintage look with all the premium upgrades, and admirably pay homage to one of the pillars of Nike’s early sneaker archive.

The latest victory in the sneaker design portfolio of Houston’s favorite son, Travis Scott, is this multi-colored Air Force 1 dubbed “Cactus Jack.” Scott combines a cluster of materials, including canvas, suede and leather for the upper in nearly every color on the spectrum. A removable zipped lace shroud made of corduroy is included and everything is held together by a classic Air Force 1 gum sole. This was not only one of the biggest releases of the season, but the exclamation point on an incredible year from one of the sneaker industry’s biggest new power players, Travis Scott.

When Virgil Abloh tackled ten of Nike’s most legendary silhouettes for his 2017 “The Ten” collaboration, most were decades old and had gone through many iterations. The Vapormax, however, was the newcomer of the group—as well as Nike’s biggest new Air Max model—back when Abloh was handed the reins. Originally releasing in black and white colorways, the shoe, like all the others, was a hit. So much so that Abloh dropped an all-black version in 2018, featured in this listing. Very similar to the OG black pair from “The Ten,” this “Part 2” version features a black Swoosh on a black flyknit upper. It’s topped off with a translucent Vapormax sole and the trademark Abloh air quotes.

Released in August 2019 exclusively in women’s sizes, this remixed “Satin” take on the “Black Toe” Jordan I is another in a long line of super successful Jumpman releases for women. From the cozy “Shadow” Jordan I by Aleali May to the “Royal Satin” Jordan I, these little premium tweaks had men everywhere ready to go a few sizes up so they could be as fresh as the ladies. This “Satin Black Toe” features a satin and leather finish on the red panels and a metal Wings logo. Staying true to its classic “Black Toe” roots with a modern twist, the “Satin Black Toe” is truly an excellent reinterpretation.

Released as a part of Jordan Brand’s “Bin23” program in 2010, this Jordan XIII received a premium makeover. Said to be inspired by Jordan’s obsessive love of cigars, this XIII is clad in desert tones of sand and red, and features a red “Bin23” marking on the tongue. Originally releasing less than 1,800 pairs, this luxurious take on the Jordan XIII also happened to be one of the rarest XIIIs ever produced. Almost 10 years later and that sentiment still rings true.

Originally released in 2005 as part of an Air Max celebration, these “Morning Glory” Air Max 1s are some of the rarest sneakers from that drop. Classified as a “Tier 0” release—meaning it was limited to just 144 pairs and exclusive only to the stores who were classified as Tier 0 Nike suppliers—these black and pink Air Max 1s are extremely hard to come by. This “Morning Glory” pair is draped in premium leather with a pink midsole and matching laces. All of the Tier 0 pairs were black-based with just one vibrant accent color on the midsole, spanning the timeline of all the iconic Air Max releases.

Back in 2013, Nike released three tonal Hyperfuse Air Max 90s in celebration of the 4th of July holiday. The three USA-inspired colorways were red, white and blue, of course, with the red colorway specifically catching the eye of then-Nike ambassador Kanye West. From a distance, they could even pass for the spiritual sibling of the “Red October” Nike Air Yeezy II (which would release the following year). Featuring an American flag stitched on the tongue, with a Hyperfuse upper and mesh paneling, these performance sneakers meant to pay homage to a summer holiday took on a life of their own, thanks in large part to the Kanye co-sign.
