Marcus Jordan and his Florida-based sneaker boutique, Trophy Room, collaborated on his pops’ famous Jordan V silhouette in 2019 to rave reviews. Inspired by the actual trophy room in the Jordan household, “Heir Jordan” released two versions, including this super-limited (only 223 were made) “University Red” “Friends and Family” exclusive and a clean “Ice Blue” pair. There are very few pairs of either colorway available on Grailed and it’s easy to see why, but the background behind this insider exclusive is rarefied air. This listing comes complete with a red suede upper, ice blue netting and a translucent sole, not to mention the customized Trophy Room logo and number five stitched on the heel. The price tag is steep, but this is quite a luxurious take on a classic Jordan.

The famous Diamond Dunk from 2005, a collaboration between skate/streetwear brand Diamond Supply Co. and Nike SB, is one of the most popular SB models of all time. It was one of the most hyped sneaker releases ever and is still one of the most sought after kicks among sneakerheads who came up during the 2000s. Decked in that gorgeous Tiffany & Co. “Tiffany blue” with black leather crocodile skin, a silver swoosh and the Diamond Supply Co. diamond logo on the tongue, this shoe couldn’t miss. Nearly 15 years later, it remains one of the most popular SB models on the resale market. These appear to be in great shape, which is icing on the cake for such a seminal piece of sneakerhead and Nike SB lore.

It’s only right that one of the original faces of Jordan Brand’s revolutionary ad campaigns, Spike Lee, got his own Jordan I back in 2017 with the release of the limited “Fort Greene” model. These released exclusively in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn at the Headquarters of Lee’s production company, 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks, in a unique black/midnight navy colorway for $300. The side of the shoe featured Lee’s legendary Mars Blackmon character and there is a “⅓” branding on the tongue. The release was accompanied by merchandise from Lee’s iconic movie She’s Gotta Have It, where another Jordan classic, the Jordan IV, played a pivotal role.

Before the infamous Yeezy “Red Octobers,” the all-red hype train started five years earlier when Kanye West and Louis Vuitton released his Louis Vuitton Don sneaker in a dynamic red colorway. Out of all the Louis Vuitton sneakers designed by West, these were easily the most popular and upon seeing them on the Louis Vuitton runway for the first time, West gloated with pride in a video on his now-defunct blog. “When the red shoes hit the runway,” he said, “I was forced to change my name to Martin Louis The King Jr.” I don’t think we could say it any better than Ye.

The 1985 Jordan I is the gift that keeps on giving. Every week we find pairs of the iconic sneaker both in relatively great shape (it is a 34-year-old shoe, after all) and in rare, elusive colorways. While the black/royal Jordan I is now a ubiquitous crowd pleaser, the OG from 1985 is far more scarce than its retro descendants. While everyone else tries to snag a pair of “Breds” or “Chicagos”, opt for this Royal and don’t look back. There are not many listings of this OG version available on Grailed and with a clean pair of black laces, you might even contemplate wearing these.

Nike SB teamed up with MediCom Toy to release the “Baby Bear” Dunk on Black Friday back in 2006. Adorned in a bright blue suede upper and fur on the toe box, quarter panels and heel, it’s easy to see why this was a must-have for sneakerheads of the era. This was released as part of Nike’s “Three Bears” pack, and the inner sole displays a picture of its namesake. Pick up the Mama Bear and Papa Bear as well to round out the exclusive set.

For Virgil Abloh’s first sneaker design as the artistic director of Louis Vuitton, he drew inspiration from classic 1980s basketball silhouettes like the Avia 880 and the Jordan III to form his LV Trainer, which released earlier this year in high, mid and low top iterations. Made in Italy, each shoe reportedly required six hours of stitching to assemble and is made of 106 components—20 of those on just the sole alone. There is Louis Vuitton branding on the sides in gold, reportedly handwritten by Abloh himself. While I would be surprised if these actually hit the hardwood this upcoming NBA season, don’t be surprised if a lot of players—like PJ Tucker—rocked them in the tunnel. There aren’t many of these available on Grailed in any style, so act fast.

Despite its decades-long popularity and ubiquitous place in sneaker culture, the Air Max 90 doesn’t have a ton of limited, rare collaborations. One of the few exceptions is this sneaker designed in conjunction with the artist KAWS back in 2008. Originally releasing in both black and white colorways with volt accents and his trademark “XX” stitched on the side of the toe box, this is without a doubt one of the most elusive Air Max 90s of all time. These very rarely pop up on Grailed so grab a piece of sneaker history while you have the chance.

In 2018, LeBron James and Ronnie Fieg teamed up to release this regal take on the LeBron XV dubbed “King’s Cloak.” It was a part of the “Long Live the King: Chapter 2” collection released by Fieg’s Kith label. Dazzling with ornate gold stitching, a golden zipper and rose accents, this and the equally lush “King’s Crown” (black colorway) gave LeBron some of that trademark Fieg flair to go with his top-notch performance basketball shoe. It is one of the few LeBron sneaker collabs in existence and is incredibly difficult to get your hands on. It’s truly a sneaker fit for a King.

This 5th Anniversary collaboration between Amsterdam sneaker boutique Patta and Nike is one of the most sought after kicks on the internet, despite its relatively simplistic take on the classic Air Max 1. The original red and blue are discarded in favor of the unique lime green suede and there is Patta block lettering on the tongue. Nicknamed the “Chlorophyll,” this quickstrike release is yet another home run in the collaborations between Patta and Nike, like the rare “Cherrywood” collab we featured a few weeks back.
