On Saturday, sneakerheads will flock to their SNKRS app in the hopes of securing the “Flint” Jordan XIII, a popular original colorway releasing for the first time in a decade.
The most revered non-Bulls colorway of the XIII, this is its fourth drop in 22 years (1998, 2005 and 2010) despite Jordan never wearing them on the court. Even during his final years in Washington as a member of the Wizards, when the uniform colors would have certainly warranted a run with the Flints, the stars never aligned and fans never got to see what milestones Jordan could have captured in those shoes.
Like few others before it, the Flints have ascended to that exalted group of Air Jordans that have garnered legions of fans despite Jordan never rocking them on the court. Nike shock dropped these during the finale of ESPN’s The Last Dance on May 17th and if that immediate sellout was any indication, it’s going to be a long day for people trying to snag that elusive W on the SNKRS app this weekend.
