The Jordan XXI is perhaps most famous for producing the best Jordan Brand commerciall since MJ’s retirement. One of the silhouette’s bright spots remains the “Toro” or “Red Suede” OG colorway. The “Toro” colorway has appeared quite a few times on Jordan silhouettes over the last decade or so, most notably the “Raging Bull DMP” Jordan V, but it took off with the Jordan XXI. Designed by D’Wayne Edwards and originally released in 2006, this was one of the select few XXI colorways that moved the needle with consumers. Inspired by the Bentley Continental GT, the “Toro” XXI featured Italian suede and a Phylon midsole. The word “Aspiration” is also sewn inside the tongue, really rounding out the luxurious image. The Red Suede XXI never saw a retro release, so the 2006 OG is the only chance you have to get your hands on the literal Bentley of Jordans.

The Jordan V’s relationship with the hit ’90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is well documented. While Jordan was creating memories on the court in the Jordan V, Will Smith was making the Jordan V a pop culture icon during Season 1 of his show, wearing the “Metallic,” “Fire Red” and “Grape” colorways throughout the inaugural season. Jordan Brand created this “Bel Air” colorway in 2013 as an homage to the show and Smith’s impact on its popularity, combining a Cool Grey upper with neon accents throughout. It’s finished off with a purple midsole, multicolored sockliner and neon pink “23” stitching.

One of the cleanest Jordan I colorways ever produced, this “Storm Blue” I works perfectly on its own or as a cheaper substitute for the uber-elusive “Colette” Jordan I. In any case, the “Storm Blue” Jordan I remains one of the great unheralded Jordan I releases ever and this 2016 retro version was released as a part of Jordan Brand’s annual “Holiday Pack,” which included retro versions of the “True Blue” III, “Space Jam” XI and other favorites. The “Storm Blue” I was one of the colorways repurposed in 2018 by Union Los Angeles, in one of the most hyped releases of that year (and one of the most popular Jordan Is of all time).

Nike’s Air Zoom Spiridon first debuted in 1997 in this OG “Sport Red” colorway. It took nearly 20 years, but the Spiridon finally returned for its first retro release in 2016, keeping all the details as close to the OG as possible. Sporting a color scheme similar to another popular Nike runner released the same year, the Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet”, the Zoom Spiridon sported a grey upper with a metallic red Swoosh, with mesh along the upper and a white midsole. This is a classic mid-90s runner that has taken on a new life thanks to this 2016 retro release.

In 2007 Nike SB released the infamous “What The” Dunk, combining design elements from dozens of exciting SB Dunk releases over the years. Nike reinterpreted that same idea five years later for this “What The” Kobe VII. The multi-colored Kobe VII featured bits of assorted Kobe colorways including the Mamba Snake, Cheetah and Poison Dart Frog, among others. In addition to the design, the Kobe VII featured all types of performance upgrades, including an “Attack Fast” insert, Phylon midsole, Nike Zoom units and a Cushlon midsole with a padded ankle.

Nike released the “Horse Pack” in 2007, which included four different colorways of classic Nike silhouettes draped in assorted types of animal hair, including understated black and white Horse Dunks, as well as flashier Zebra and Cow Blazers. This pair features a grey Swoosh and overlay around the toe box, with horse hair lining the rest of the upper around the heel. Dark grey accents can also be found around the collar and on the outsole.

Ronnie Fieg has never shied away from how much he’s loved United Arrows & Sons’ New Balance collaboration from 2009, so much so that he released pairs inspired by that original collaboration under his Kith imprint in 2018. This “Fusion” colorway features a clean grey and black color scheme, with hot pink accents along the “N” logo and on the heel branding. This was one of the three sneakers Fieg released paying homage to that original collaboration between United Arrows & Sons and New Balance, all of which were variations of the 997 (two pairs of the upgraded 997S).

Just like the aforementioned “What The” inspiration on the Kobe VII, this “Homage” Gel Lyte III borrows from that same idea, combining design elements from previous releases. In this instance, it’s Ronnie Fieg and his Asics collaborations. Released in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of the Asics Gel Lyte III and the 25 previous Fieg collaborations. This “Homage” pair pulls design elements from 13 of those, including the “Salmon Toe” and “Cove,” among others.

adidas isn’t afraid to go after the biggest names in music. Already with a roster that includes Kanye West and Pharrell, adidas linked up with arguably the biggest name in music, Beyonce, and her Ivy Park label. Finally releasing the product earlier in 2020, adidas dropped three different Ivy Park sneakers as a part of its debut collection. Included in that collection are maroon and orange colorways of the adidas Ultra Boost, Nite Jogger and the Sleek Super 72 featured in this listing. An upgraded version of the adidas Samba, Bey’s version features a platform gum sole, white leather upper with wraps around the midsole.

Limited to just 400 pairs, this is the latest installment in the creative collective No Vacancy Inn’s “Water & Wi-Fi” collaborative efforts with New Balance. This version of the 650 features a cream mesh upper, with a mixture of tonal suede and leather paneling throughout. Hanging from the lace holes is a USB hangtag featuring a mix of music curated by Tremaine “Denim Tears” Emory, one of the founders of No Vacancy Inn. One of the cooler things you’ll see attached to a shoe in 2020.
