Before Kanye West was rocking Carhartt shirts and muted color palettes, he had a much more vibrant brand of personal style, something on full display during his time collaborating with luxury giant Louis Vuitton. His Jasper sneaker in the “Patchwork” colorway was a perfect personification of that ethos. Named after his personal friend and barber, Ibn Jasper, the Louis Vuitton Jasper sneaker featured double straps, grey leather, ribbed suede, a magenta midsole and tassel laces. Hard to secure in any size, these are in great condition and a must for any Yeezy die-hard.

If there was ever a shoe that screamed South Florida, the LeBron IX “LeBronald Palmer” would be it. Produced during his time with the Miami Heat, these sneakers were inspired by golf great Arnold Palmer and his signature half-iced tea, half-lemonade concoction (which can be found on the inside sole). Despite being a low-top iteration, these quickly became one of the most rare and sought after LeBrons ever produced. These tropical kicks with glow in the dark soles are extremely hard to find, with just very few listings currently on Grailed.

Leave it to Teddy Santis and his Aime Leon Dore imprint to take a classic sneaker like the New Balance 997 and deliver it with his signature brand of refined, streetwear-inflected panache. Released alongside an entire apparel collection, this 997 sold out instantly. Offsetting the muted white and gray hues is canary yellow and pink accents, lending some pop and 90s-inspired nostalgia to the design. The inside sole features a custom floral pattern which matches the shoebox, and the premium materials range from suede overlays to pebbled nubuck. The presentation and quality is always top notch with Aimé Leon Dore and since there aren’t many of these available on Grailed, I’d recommend moving quickly.

To say Patta’s series of Air Max 1 collaborations with Nike to celebrate its 5th anniversary was a success would be a massive understatement. The Amsterdam-based retailer churned out hit after hit (many of which have already been featured in the past) and this iteration is no different. Decked in layers of denim and corduroy with Patta and Air Max co-branding on the tongue, this is a must for all sneakerheads. Incredibly detailed and as rare as they come, you’d be hard pressed to find another pair in deadstock condition at this price point.

British brand A-Cold-Wall and NikeLab teamed up in 2017 to deliver a deconstructed take on the iconic Air Force 1 High, a sneaker which Samuel Ross, the founder of A-Cold-Wall, views as a pillar of London streetwear. Complete with a white leather upper, grey suede overlays, “ACW” branding and a stitched swoosh, this version was an immediate hit. This model only released in London and in extremely limited numbers, so it’s very rare to even find a pair for sale.

On the heels of the success of Virgil Abloh’s iconic take on the “Chicago” Jordan I, Off-White and Nike brought out even more Jordan I colorways, including this all-white model. Debuting on the Off-White Fall/Winter 2018 runway, this version released exclusively in Europe, complete with the classic deconstructed design, air quote branding and blue zip tie accessory. Anything Virgil touches these days instantly sells out and this is no different, but the exclusive nature and tonal colorway of the release makes these slightly unique when compared to the “Chicago” and “UNC” models.

The 2005 “Diamond” Dunk is without a doubt, one of the most important sneaker releases of the 2000s. The iconic “Tiffany”-inspired design is still a hit almost 15 years removed from its original release. In 2018, Diamond Supply Co. and Nike SB reunited to produce a super-limited Friends and Family edition of the “Diamond” Dunk in canary yellow, in celebration of the brand’s 20th anniversary. Releasing exclusively at ComplexCon, only 150 of the reported 250 pairs that were produced were actually for sale, while Diamond Supply Co.’s founder Nick Tershay’s friends and family received the other 100 pairs. The release caused chaos much like its predecessor, and due to the exclusive nature of this shoe, it’s an extremely rare find.

On the heels of the first successful collaboration between Supreme and Nike in 2002 with the SB Dunk Low, the two parties got together again a year later for Supreme’s take on the SB Dunk High. Featuring faux-croc skin and golden star-spangled side panels, this Carolina Blue colorway is a must for Supreme enthusiasts. Despite its age, this listing appears to be in great shape, making it a true rarity. There aren’t many of this iconic collaboration available on Grailed and they don’t pop up that often.

For his second and final collaboration with Nike, Kanye West’s Air Yeezy 2 pulled out all the stops. Taking its color cues from its Air Yeezy 1 “Blink” predecessor, the “Solar Red” 2 was slightly more refined in its design, which featured a molded rubber heel, snakeskin side panels and an Egyptian-style tongue design. While the “Red October” Air Yeezy 2 may garner all the hype and acclaim, the “Solar Red” was a classic and should be revered as such.

The 2012 film ParaNorman, a story about an isolated young boy who can communicate with ghosts, collaborated with Nike on its own Foamposite One to coincide with the film’s release. Decked with soles that glow in the dark, smoky graphics and “Weird Wins” stitched on the heel tabs in electric green, this appealed to all people who identified with the struggles of the titular character. This exclusive Foamposite was never released in stores and the only way to secure one of the 800 pairs was to enter the ParaNorman #WEIRDWINS contest, where fans could enter by uploading a weird photo of themselves as a kid and send it to the ParaNorman Twitter account. This is a difficult pair to track down and one of the most unique Foamposites ever produced.
