One of the (many) great things Nike SB did for the sneaker industry was shining a light on artists from all walks of life. This particular pair is from the mind of Singapore’s Mark Ong, also known as SBTG or Sabotage. The “SBTG” Dunk originally dropped overseas in Asia in 2006 and features all kinds of unique design quirks. His branding can be found stitched in red on the vamp and if you notice, there are lace flaps you can attach that also feature a printed graphic. The black and sable green colorway is topped off with a Metallic Gold Swoosh.

Inspired by the alt-rock band of the same name, these “Dinosaur Jr.” Dunks released way back in 2007. Sporting a metallic silver upper with purple accents and stitching, this pair features unique embroidered branding by the heels of both shoes. The oft-forgotten Jordan XVII holds an important place in the Jordan lineage for a few reasons. For one, it was the signature sneaker bestowed to Jordan during his second return to the NBA, this time as a member of the Washington Wizards. Two, the original red and blue pairs came complete with a silver briefcase, making it one of the more over-the-top sneaker releases of the era. While the “Space Jam” Jordan XI has achieved cult status thanks to its namesake—the 1996 movie starring Jordan and the Looney Tunes in which the sneaker features prominently—it actually made its debut a year earlier. The “Space Jams” first graced the NBA hardwood during the 1995 Eastern Conference Semifinals, when Jordan’s Bulls took on the upstart Orlando Magic. Jordan had previously debuted the “Concord” XI earlier in that series as well. With the success of the movie in 1996 and the Bulls’ legendary 72-10 championship season, the XI became one of the most popular sneakers in the history of sports. While Jordan rocked the “Space Jams” in 1995 and 1996, they didn’t officially release to the masses until 2000. Since then, they’ve retroed twice–in 2009 (like this listing) and 2016.
