The NBA’s resident Sneaker King, Houston Rockets do-it-all forward P.J. Tucker, finally received his own shoe. In a collaboration with Nike, Tucker will receive his own colorway of the Kobe V Protro model, his personal favorite sneaker to hoop in.

Tucker confirmed the official release via Instagram and the shoes are slated to drop on September 25th. Sporting a white/grey upper with a polka dot Swoosh, Tucker’s Kobes feature red, purple, blue and volt accents throughout.

It’s been a long time coming for Tucker. A 2006 second-round pick, Tucker played overseas in Israel, Ukraine, Italy and Germany before finding a place for himself in Phoenix. During his time on the Rockets he’s catapulted to superstardom in the sneaker community due to his diverse and ultra-rare collection of heat.

Tucker has played in everything from Fear of God 1s, to the Nike Air Yeezy II “Red Octobers,” to exclusive colorways of your favorite Jordan, Kobe and Penny silhouettes. We kick off this week’s list with a classic Penny signature sneaker which Tucker has donned quite a few times over the earlier years of his career (in a variety of flavors). Salute to the Sneaker King–a well deserved honor for one of the game’s freshest.
