“Money, it’s gotta be the shoes!” Who could forget Spike Lee’s Mars Blackmon character yelling at Michael Jordan during their iconic string of Air Jordan commercials? “Money” got its own shot at a colorway in 2006, in the form of the “Pure Money” Jordan IV. Sporting an all white leather upper with chrome accents along the eyelets and on the Jumpman by the heel, the shoe was by all accounts...money. “Pure$” could also be found stitched inside the tongue’s backtab. The version listed here is from the 2017 retro release, just as fresh as the original.

The “Mocha” Jordan III is a very unique Jordan colorway within its vast and incomparable catalog. Brown, or in this case “Dark Mocha,” is not a very common Air Jordan color, however when it’s paired with the perfect Jordan III silhouette, it just works. Originally released in 2001, it was a departure from all the Jordan III colorways we’d previously seen to that point. Dark Mocha covers the iconic elephant print atop the midsole and around the toe box, with matching Mocha hits along the outsole and in the Jumpman stitching. These were an underrated release back then and would eventually see a retro drop in 2018, which can be found here.

One of the best parts of The Last Dance, ESPN’s 10-part documentary on Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls, was watching MJ react to Gary Payton’s memory of the 1996 NBA Finals. Jordan’s Bulls took down Payton’s Seattle Supersonics in six games, but Payton believed if he had simply guarded Jordan earlier in the series, they would have had a shot to win it all. In typical Jordan fashion, MJ dismisses it completely, making for one of the funnier moments of the documentary series. Payton’s Supersonics, one of MJ’s fabled Finals foes, inspires this colorway of the Jordan X. These were originally released back in 1995 as a part of the Jordan X “City Pack,” however this retro version dropped in 2019. A perfect homage to a great organization (that should still be in the NBA).

Known primarily as being the team that cut a young Michael Jordan, MJ’s alma mater is once again channeled into an Air Jordan, this time in the rare Jordan XIV low-top version. The most popular “Laney” colorway is the Jordan V, but this one sneaks up on you with how good it really is. Originally released in 1999 and again in 2015, the “Laney” XIV Low features a royal and black nubuck upper with white and yellow accents. The XIV is often remembered by “The Last Shot” and rightfully so, but the silhouette has some funky colorways as well, with this being one of the best.

His blend of power and speed made him one of the most popular and exciting athletes on the planet, as he dazzled both as a baseball player and football player before suffering a career-altering hip injury. The Air Trainer SC was designed for his diverse talents and this black and grey pair named after his football home was a perfect accessory for his highlight reel runs. The Air Trainer SC has received a lot of run in the last three decades, but this particular OG colorway has only seen one retro release in 2012.

Carmelo Anthony was a huge signing for Jordan Brand as he entered the NBA in 2003. The star forward was fresh off a NCAA Championship at Syracuse and was primed to take the league by storm. During his rookie season with the Denver Nuggets, Jordan Brand gave him this Player Exclusive Jordan II in the old Nuggets colorway–featuring a white leather upper with Carolina blue and yellow accents. Anthony broke out all kinds of Jordan PEs during his career, along with his own expansive signature line, but these are definitely his most memorable. Jordan Brand would release a retro version in 2018, which can be found in this listing.

For Shaquille O’Neal’s final season in Orlando, he rocked the Reebok Shaqnosis in this black and white colorway. It was his fifth signature sneaker during his time with Reebok, and definitely one of the more memorable options. Shaq would eventually leave Reebok and the Magic, and the Shaqnosis laid dormant for quite some time before eventually releasing a retro version in 2013, shortly after O’Neal and Reebok rejoined forces. Sporting a black and white nubuck and leather upper with Hexalite cushioning along the heel, this hypnotic signature sneaker from “The Diesel” received yet another retro release back in January.

Spike Lee’s film He Got Game, starring Denzel Washington and a young Ray Allen as Coney Island phenom Jesus Shuttlesworth, birthed some memorable sneaker moments. Washington, of course, breaks out OG Jordan XIIIs while Allen’s character wears the “Pearl” Nike Air Foamposite Pro, which can be found in this listing as part of a two-pack, alongside the Nike Zoom Hawk Flight. Inspired by He Got Game, this pack transports you back to 1997 for a retro version of the “Pearl” Foamposite Pro, sporting a white Foamposite shell with black accents and a jeweled Swoosh. The Zoom Hawk Flight, which was worn by Gary Payton in the mid-’90s, is featured in a black and blue colorway.

Freshwater is the shade of green Nike commonly attaches to all the OG Air Griffey Max Mariners-inspired colorways, so it's easy to see parallels between that classic line and this fresh take on the Air Max 95. Released back in 2009, Nike swaps out the OG Neon for Freshwater accents along the Swoosh, tongue and eyestays. If any Air Max 95 colorway was due for another retro release, it’s definitely this one.

Released to coincide with 2014’s Australian Open, this is an ode to tennis great and Nike legend Andre Agassi’s impressive career record at Melbourne Park. The sneaker commemorates all four of his tournament wins with “95.00.01.03” (the years in which he won) stitched on the tongue, as well as “1036” (the number of games Agassi won through the years at the tournament) on the heel. The classic Agassi signature silhouette sports a white upper with bright Solar Orange and Blue accents along the mudguard and midsole.
