Nike and Supreme, the two mega-brands who continue to dominate their respective segments of the fashion industry, have had a successful collaborative relationship since 2002. Over the past 20 years, they have churned out all types of imaginative products, from sneakers to apparel and accessories, and it all started with the Nike Dunk.

Back in 2002, Supreme and Nike released two colorways of Nike SB’s version of the iconic Dunk, clad in elephant print overlays. The release was a success and the start of something special, as the two brands would drop another set of Dunks (Highs this time) the following year, as well as a reworked version of the OG release 10 years later.

This week, the two brands are likely to release four new colorways of the SB Dunk, solely through Supreme. There will be no other release via SNKRS or at other skate shops, meaning this will likely be one of the more exciting–and likely frustrating–releases of 2021. The four colorways that are dropping include: “Hyper Royal”, “Mean Green”, “Black” and “Barkroot Brown”. The new SB Dunks also feature the familiar star pattern along the side panels, similar to the 2003 Supreme Dunk Highs.

Also releasing this week are the highly anticipated “University Blue” Jordan I Highs on Saturday. UNC-flavored Jordans are always a hit, like the Jordan III of the same name from 2020, and is a preview of things to come for the brand over the ensuing months. Following the Jordan Is are a “UNC” Jordan IV and a “Legend Blue” Jordan XI Low, both scheduled for late April releases. Whether you’re rocking, stocking or flipping these pairs, it’s never a bad idea to bet on the colorways of MJ’s alma mater.

Jordan Is have been the sneaker of the moment for quite some time now, selling out instantly regardless of colorway, so this release will undoubtedly be no different. It caps off an exciting week of releases, including even more Dunks and a brand new Yeezy silhouette.
