Along with the highly anticipated Nike Air Force 1 Low in collaboration with Comme des Garçons Shirt dropping tomorrow, Supreme is releasing a capsule with multi-disciplinary artist Chris Cunningham.
Born in Reading, England, Cunningham is best known for his work as a filmmaker, music producer, photographer and visual artist in the 1990s and 2000s. Most famous for his ongoing relationship with Aphex Twin—he directed the “Come To Daddy” and “Windowlicker” music videos—Cunningham’s other notable credits include Bjork’s “All Is Full of Love” and Madonna’s “Frozen.” In 2005, Cunningham released Rubber Johnny, a six minute experimental short film. Shot in night vision and featuring a soundtrack by Aphex Twin, the project serves as the basis for the collaboration, with graphics lifted directly from the film appearing on a hoodie and two T-shirts.
The capsule drops this Thursday, November 8 at Supreme’s US, European and online stores. It will release on November 10 in Japan. Be sure to check Grailed shortly after 11 am as the items make their way to the Hype marketplace.
