Supreme Officially Announces Nike SB Dunk Low Collaboration

After weeks of rumors and various leaks, Supreme has finally officially announced its highly-anticipated collaborative Nike SB Dunk Low. Since the sneaker’s initial debut in 2002, the Nike SB Dunk Low has become one of the most popular skateboarding shoes of all time—a legacy that is today inexorably tied to Supreme. That same year, Supreme released what is now arguably its most sought after sneaker, an SB dunk featuring the Jordan 3 elephant print, the first sneaker in Nike’s history apart from that Jordan model to utilize the now infamous pattern.
Despite a dip in popularity in the mid-2010s, 17 years later the Nike SB Dunk Low is back in full force, and once again Supreme is leading the resurgence. Featuring a leather upper with a metallic leather toe panel, a Zoom Air unit, a Supreme “star” insignia at the heel and Supreme branded insoles, the sneaker is sure to prove as polarizing—and as wildly popular—as its predecessor. Never one to shy away from early aughts references, Supreme chose to include a jewel swoosh, not only a popular 2000s sneaker trend but never before seen on a Dunk. The sneaker will be available in white/red, black/silver and navy/gold colorways.
The 2019 Supreme x Nike SB Dunk Low will be available this Thursday, September 5, at Supreme’s US, European and online stores. It will be released on September 7 in Japan. Be sure to check Grailed shortly after 11 am as items make their way to the Hype marketplace.
