With 2017 just around the bend, we're already looking towards our favorite designers for new styles. UNUSED, one of our go-to Japanese labels for timeless silhouettes, has just released their newest lookbook for Spring/Summer 2017. Eclectic but minimal, the collection has a feeling of familiarity that's often reflected in the work of UNUSED. Think, inspiration from both the past and future. The palette has a fresh '70s feeling: colorful, but not loud. Aqua, magenta and forest green are balanced by neutral creams, pinks and navy. Elastic waist bands and New York Yankees-style pinstripes lend an Americana sportswear story typically favored by Japanese designers, but the pieces here are thoughtfully ambiguous and can be easily styled to fit any aesthetic the wearer chooses.
