Perhaps the most full-fit of all the options, with something like this, you’re likely going to (or are required to keep your camera on during all video conference calls. Whether you’re speaking to clients or explaining a presentation to your boss, it’ll pay dividends to make sure you’re covered in more ways that one—especially if your computer camera accidentally goes below the shoulders.

Think of this like any other casual workwear attire—you’re not in the office so expectations aren’t as high, but you’re still dressing to impress. For the maximalist approach, go with a navy blazer (one from Brooks Brothers is a wardrobe must-have all year round), an oxford shirt, chinos and a pair of soft shoes or loafers. We’ll let you in on a little secret: You control the camera when you’re doing a video call on your computer. You may still need to pull it together for your 9-to-5, but if your boss is only going to be able to see you from the chest up, then you have a little more free reign on how your lower half looks.

Starting with the top, you’ll be best served with opting for a clean oxford shirt. There’s no reason to overthink it, so go with brands like Ralph Lauren (as noted in our business casual guide above) or Thom Browne. If you’re willing to freak it slightly, try wearing a shirt from Engineered Garments or Gitman Bros.—both brands create button down shirts that are largely fairly normal, but make alterations to shape or fabric.
