The Yeezy 500 "Salt" Drops This Friday

While Kanye West is taking a step back from politics, his line of sneakers—including the Yeezy 500—continues its campaign for sneaker of the year.
After a few months out of the spotlight, the whited-out Yeezy 500 “Salt” is finally here. The colorway was teased all the way in October, but will be hitting shelves this Friday.
In related Yeezy news, the Yeezy 700 “Mauve” did not sell out immediately, with the style going for just about retail prices on plenty of aftermarket platforms.
This is an apparent issue for Yeezys and is unlike previous drops, which lead many to believe that West’s right-wing leaning political antics signaled the beginning of a downturn for the successful sneaker collection. While sources close to West denied that politics played a role—claiming a greater production number of Yeezys diminished rarity, and by extension, resale prices—the bottom line is that the previous three Yeezy 500 drops have all sold out quickly but are reselling at relatively low price points compared to similar Yeezy drops over the last few years.
The adidas Yeezy 500 “Salt” drops on November 30 and will retail for $200. You can score it at adidas’ retail locations and Yeezy stockists worldwide. Check Grailed soon after the release as the sneakers make their way to the Hype marketplace.
