The Yeezy Desert Rat 500 "Blush" Drops This Weekend

After months of anticipation, the Yeezy Desert Rat 500 “Blush” is finally making its way to retailers worldwide.
While the Desert Rat 500 follows in the same 2018-by-way-of-’90s “retro-futurism” that informs the much-hyped Yeezy 750 “Wave Runner”, the Desert Rat 500 swaps a bold color palette for a more contemporary single-tone colorway. The sneaker features mesh and suede panels and, most surprisingly, a non-marking adidas adiPRENE outsole instead of Boost technology in the midsole.
The Desert Rat silhouette first released via pre-sale (and confined to a $760 clothing bundle) on Yeezy Supply back in December of last year, followed by a limited release at an adidas event during February 2018’s NBA All-Star weekend.
This morning, adidas tweeted that the shoe will be available on its website on April 14 for $200 while providing a list of retailers as well. In addition to copping the old fashioned way, multiple raffles are opening at online retailers such as HBX and Très Bien. A wider, international roster of stockists can be found here.
As with all kicks brandishing Kanye’s nickname, these will be hard to get. Be sure to check Grailed’s Hype marketplace soon after they drop.
