As noted on the interior label, the Compact process comes from the treatment used on military uniforms, which were sewn in prisons and then washed at temperatures above 130 degrees Celsius. Garments treated in this way shrunk so much that they had to be made 50% bigger. Stone Island uses this treatment to create a range of unique fabrics. This Compact treated smock is a collared pullover in white cotton poplin with an external hood. The smock boasts a central pouch pocket, along with branded button closures on the seam at the bottom hem. For a customized fit, there are drawstring closures on each sleeve and along the bottom hem of the garment.
